Rebel Robotics Completes Successful Trip to Finger Lakes Regional!

Like Reid said years ago, “what a regional!” It was almost every team’s first competition in two years and we had a great time on and off the field. The bus ride to and from Rochester was a lot of fun and we all got a little closer to each other. As for our meals… AMAZING!!! Going to Dinosaur Barbecue for the first time (revisiting for others) and cracking open a cold Saranac Root Beer was a great memory I think everyone will remember. Our hotel experience was something some of us will never forget.

Our drive team was fantastic, they did pretty well for their first time driving and operating an FRC robot. Henry’s Cargo game was on point and Hanlin’s driving skill was unmatched. Sarah’s voice was pretty much gone by the end of it and it took her a few days to get it back. We ended up as the 8th seed and the 5th alliance captain making it to the semifinals, which isn’t too bad considering the two-year gap. Winning the Entrepreneurship Award was the nice cherry on top to finish off the competition.

It felt good to be back.

Like really good.
